Bank POS terminal with Flexy: register connection via BORICA

This page is for you if you have a POS terminal from your bank and want the amount to go to it from Flexy, instead of the cashier typing it in. These terminals work with BORICA's register-connection protocol. It applies to the terminals of DSK Bank, UniCredit Bulbank, Postbank, Fibank and ProCredit Bank.

What you need

• A terminal from the bank with the „ВРЪЗКА С КАСА“ (register connection) function switched on.
• A link between the terminal and the till. The terminal has a serial (RS-232) port, and you can connect it to:
  • an Android till running Flexy, with a serial cable;
  • a computer running Flexy помощник (the Flexy helper), with a serial cable or a USB-to-serial adapter;
  • an RS-232 to Bluetooth adapter from Datecs, which we sell in the shop. The terminal then needs no cable to the till.

1. Ask your bank

1. Ask the bank to switch on the „ВРЪЗКА С КАСА“ function on the terminal. Without it, the terminal does not accept the amount from Flexy.
2. Ask which register number (00 to 99) the terminal should work with. You enter the same number in Flexy.
3. Optionally, ask for the terminal to stop printing the merchant's copy of the card slip. Flexy keeps the payment details, and you save paper.

2. Add the terminal in Flexy

1. Connect the terminal to the till or the computer: with the cable, or through the Bluetooth adapter. With the adapter, pair it with the device first.
2. Open „Устройства“ → „Добави“ (add) → „Картов терминал“ (card terminal).
3. If you have several boxes, choose the one the terminal is connected to.
4. Under „Модел“ (model), choose „Borica POS-ECR“ and the connection the terminal uses.
5. With a cable, press „Сканирай портове“ (scan ports) and choose the terminal's port.
6. Under „Терминал“, fill in „Идентификатор на терминала“ (terminal identifier) and „Име“ (name).
7. Under „Регистър“, choose the fiscal device in „Следва регистър“ (follows register) and enter the bank's number in „Номер на ЕКАФП“ (register number).
8. Save.

3. Link the till

Open „Работни станции“ (workstations), choose the till, and under „Фискален принтер“ choose the terminal in the „Картов терминал“ field.
