Viva.com SoftPOS with Flexy: card payments on an Android phone

This page is for you if you want customers to pay by card right on an Android device, with no separate terminal. The Viva.com Terminal app turns the device into a terminal: the customer taps their card or phone, and Flexy gets the result in the bill.

What you need

• A Viva.com business account. You open it online at viva.com.
• An Android device with NFC and Android 8.1 or newer.
• The Viva.com Terminal app from Google Play, signed in to your Viva account and activated.

Option 1: on the till itself

When Flexy POS runs on an Android device with NFC, the device can take cards itself.

1. Install and activate Viva.com Terminal on the till.
2. In Flexy, open „Устройства“ → „Добави“ (add) → „Картов терминал“ (card terminal).
3. Under „Модел“ (model), choose the brand „Viva.com“ and „Приложение на това устройство (App2App)“ (app on this device). The connection is set by itself.
4. Under „Настройки на приложението“ (app settings), fill in „Идентификатор на терминала“ (terminal identifier) from Viva. It is optional, but it helps Flexy check a payment whose answer was lost.
5. Under „Регистър“, in „Следва регистър“ (follows register), choose the fiscal device.
6. Save, and choose the terminal in the till's „Картов терминал“ field („Работни станции“ → the till → „Фискален принтер“).

Option 2: on a separate phone or display

The till is another device, and the customer pays on a phone, tablet or customer display next to it, such as a BC-05.

1. Pair the device with Flexy as a workstation and install Viva.com Terminal on it.
2. Open „Работни станции“ (workstations) → the device → „Картов терминал на това устройство“ (this device's card terminal).
3. Press „Добави картов терминал (Viva.com Terminal)“.
4. Switch on „Плащанията с карта на касата — на този дисплей“ (the till's card payments on this display) and choose the till. Now, when the cashier presses "card", the payment opens on this device.

The device must be at the same site and see the box through which the till closes its bills. If Flexy says the box is an old version, update it.

End of day

Viva settles the payments itself, with no separate end-of-day report on the terminal. At the Z report, Flexy closes the card day too and prints its report.
