Start here if you have just received a DP-25 MX cash register. It has a keypad, two displays (one for you, one for the customer) and a built-in modem for the connection to НАП (the Bulgarian National Revenue Agency). It can work on its own, or connected to a computer or tablet running Flexy.
The box and switching on
The box contains the register, the operating manual, the passport (keep it), a card with the details of the fitted SIM card, one paper roll, a mains adapter and an interface cable.
- Plug the adapter into the wall socket and into the register.
- Check that a paper roll is loaded.
- Press ON. The main menu appears on the display.
To switch the register off, press 0 in the main menu.
The battery is optional. If your register has no battery, it must stay plugged in while you work. Do not plug it into a power strip shared with fridges, cookers or other heavy appliances. Place it so that both you and the customer can see the display, out of direct sunlight and away from heat.

Every mode asks for an operator password. If you hear a long beep and the register does not enter the mode, it is set to the short menu. Only Registration and Z reports are left in the short menu.
Connecting
The register has USB for a computer, LAN for a network cable to the router, Bluetooth (only if the optional module is fitted), two RS-232 ports for a barcode scanner, scale, external display, PIN pad or computer, plus a separate barcode scanner input and a cash drawer output.
To work with Flexy, the register must be in mode 6 (PC connection), with the port it is connected through selected in its settings: USB, LAN or Bluetooth. If you are not sure, ask your service company to set it up. The connection to НАП goes through the built-in modem and SIM card.
Daily Z report
The Z report (дневен Z-отчет) writes the day's turnover to the fiscal memory and to КЛЕН, and resets the daily registers. Run it once, at the end of every working day on which you had sales, refunds (storno) or cash in/out entries.
If the register works with Flexy, run it from Flexy. From the keypad:
- In the main menu, press 3 (Z reports).
- Enter your password and press TOTAL.
- Select "Дневен финансов отчет" (daily financial report, item 1) and press TOTAL.
- Wait until the report has finished printing.
Datecs' short guide shows the same thing as 3, your password, TOTAL, TOTAL.
The register can warn you a few minutes before midnight. Ask your service company to set this up.
If the Z report does not reach НАП:
- In the main menu, go to 8 (Self-tests).
- Run the GPRS test.
- Tell your service company or supplier the result, whether the test passed or not.

Service
Do not open or repair the register yourself. Service mode is for the service technician only. 7 days before the date your service company has set, the register shows a service reminder. For a fault, or any of the service messages in the table, call your service company.
