Start here if you have just received an FP-700 MX 4G. It is a desktop fiscal printer with an automatic cutter and a built-in 4G modem for the connection to НАП (the Bulgarian National Revenue Agency). It usually works connected to a computer, tablet or phone running Flexy, but its buttons also let you print a report without any software.
The box and power
The box contains the printer, the installation and operating manual, the fiscal device passport, one paper roll, and a power cable and interface cable. Keep the passport: you need it for inspections and service.
The printer runs on an adapter (24 V) and has no battery, so it must stay plugged in while you work. Use its own socket, not a power strip shared with fridges, cookers or other heavy appliances.
Switching on and connecting
- Plug the adapter into the wall socket and into the printer.
- Press the power button briefly.
- Wait until the date and time appear on the display.
To switch the printer off, press and hold the same button.
The printer connects to the device running Flexy over USB (the cable from the box), LAN (a network cable to the router or switch) or RS-232 (a serial cable for older computers). There is no Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The display shows the active interface (USB, RS232 or LAN) and the mobile signal. The connection to НАП goes through the built-in modem and SIM card, and you do not need to set it up.
Daily Z report
The Z report (дневен Z-отчет) writes the day's turnover to the fiscal memory and to КЛЕН (the electronic journal), and resets the daily registers. Run it once, at the end of every working day on which you had sales, refunds (storno) or cash in/out entries.
The easiest way is from Flexy. From the printer itself:
- Make sure the printer is in its normal working state, with no open receipt and no open menu.
- Press the daily report button.
- Confirm printing as the display prompts you.
The button symbols are in the "Функции на бутоните" (button functions) table in the manual.
The date and time can only be changed after a Z report. The X report is a summary of the day without reset, and you can run it as often as you like.
Display messages

Service
Do not open or repair the printer yourself. For a fault, "Трябва сервиз!", a fiscal memory problem or a problem with the НАП connection, call the service company you have a contract with for the fiscal device.
