Read this if you are connecting a Tremol cash register to Flexy. To accept sales from Flexy, the register must work in "Фискален принтер" (fiscal printer) mode. You turn it on with a single system parameter, which is off by default.
Turning on fiscal printer mode
The mode is enabled by system parameter 11, "Фиск. принтер" (fiscal printer). Its default value is НЕ (no), and the register works on its own.
- Switch the register on.
- Use the mode key to select "Програмиране" (programming).
- Enter the programming password. If you don't know it, ask your service company.
- Select sub-mode 1, "Програмиране на общи за ФУ параметри и величини" (general device parameters), and go into "Системни параметри на ФУ" (system parameters).
- Go to parameter 11, "Фиск. принтер", and set it to ДА (yes).
- Leave with the cancel key, which returns to the previous menu.
The keys for moving through the list depend on the keypad. In the manual they are in the "Навигационни клавиши" (navigation keys) table, separately for the M20/M23, S21 and S25/A19Plus.
Parameter 29, "ФП с клавиатура" (fiscal printer with keypad), allows sales from the keypad too while the register is in fiscal printer mode. The default is ДА, so the cashier can still sell from the register itself.
The manual also describes another computer mode: Programming, sub-mode 7. It is for reading out and programming from a computer while the register works on its own, not for sales from Flexy.
Connecting to the computer
- Serial cable (RS232): 115200, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit. If a different speed is set on the register (9600, 19200, 38400 or 57600), set the same in Flexy.
- USB: the register shows up as a virtual serial port. For a Windows computer, the drivers are on Tremol's "Драйвери за фискални устройства" (drivers for fiscal devices) page.
- Network (LAN or Wi-Fi): the port is always 8000. The IP address and other network settings are set with Tremol's "Софтуер за мрежови (LAN/WIFI) и Bluetooth настройки на ФУ" (network and Bluetooth settings software) from the product page.
- Bluetooth: if a password is asked for when pairing, enter the one set for the register. If you don't know it, ask your service company.
The register's communication parameters are in Programming, sub-mode 9. Tremol recommends changing them only after consulting your service company.
The available connections differ by model.
- Cable: USB only.
- Wireless: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi is optional).
- No RS232 or LAN, so in Flexy pick USB, Bluetooth, or network over Wi-Fi.
- Cable: USB, two RS232 and LAN (LAN is optional).
- Wireless: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi is optional).
- Cable: USB, two RS232 and LAN.
- Wireless: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi is optional).
- Parameter 11, "Фиск. принтер", is the same. Its default is НЕ ("Автономен ФУ", stand-alone device).
- Computer connections: RS232 and USB (virtual serial port).
- In sub-mode 9 you choose the speed with + and – from 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600 and 115200. The default is 115200. The chosen speed is kept when you leave the sub-mode.
- If the display shows "-- Line --", the register is in sub-mode 7 (programming and reading), not in fiscal printer mode.
Adding it in Flexy
- Open "Организация" (organisation) → "Устройства" (devices) → "Добави" (add). Pick the register under "Открити от кутията" (found by the box) if it is there, or pick "Фискален принтер" (fiscal printer).
- Set "Марка" (brand) to Tremol and "Серия или протокол" (series or protocol) to the model. Then:
- "USB (кабел)": press "Търси устройства" (search for devices) and pick the register under "Открити от кутията" (found by the box).
- "Сериен порт (COM)": "Скорост (бода)" (baud rate) must match the register. 115200 is the usual value.
- "Мрежа (TCP/IP)": fill in "IP адрес или име" (IP address or name) and enter 8000 in "Порт (TCP)".
- "Bluetooth": "Bluetooth на компютъра" (computer's Bluetooth) → "Търси" (search) → "Сдвои" (pair), with "PIN (ако се иска)" (PIN, if asked).
- Save and press "Тестов печат" (test print).
Tremol does not tell Flexy that parameter 11 is НЕ. Flexy simply cannot print. See The register is not in PC mode: Flexy does not print.
Tremol fiscal printers
Tremol fiscal printers (FP01, FP15, FP21, FP24, FP28) have no such parameter. They always work under the software's control, so add them to Flexy straight away. The speed, and port 8000 for network, are the same as on the cash registers.
