This page is for when you add a new cash register or fiscal printer in Flexy, or change how it is connected. The steps are the same for all brands. The differences between brands are in preparing the device itself.
Before you start
Cash registers must be in their computer mode, or they won't answer Flexy. Fiscal printers have no such mode and always wait for commands. Prepare the device using the article for your brand:
- Datecs cash register in PC mode: connecting to Flexy
- Daisy in "fiscal printer – PC" mode: connecting to Flexy
- Tremol as a fiscal printer: setting it up for Flexy
For Eltrade and Incotex, the manufacturer does not publish how to switch the register to work with a computer. Ask your service company to set it up.
Plug the device into the Flexy box with a cable, or keep it nearby if it will connect over Bluetooth.
Adding the device
- Open "Организация" (organisation) → "Устройства" (devices) and press "Добави" (add).
- If the device is listed under "Открити от кутията" (found by the box), pick it there and the details fill in by themselves. Otherwise pick "Фискален принтер" (fiscal printer). This also covers cash registers.
- Pick "Марка" (brand) and "Серия или протокол" (series or protocol), then the connection type, and fill in the fields as in the table below.
- Save.
- Press "Тестов печат" (test print) and check that a receipt comes out.
If you don't know exactly what the device is or which port it is plugged into, press "Търси устройства" (search for devices). The box lists what it finds under "Открити от кутията" (found by the box); pick your device from there.
Connection types

Serial port and speed
With a serial cable, the speed in Flexy and on the device must be the same. Flexy offers 115200 baud, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, but the device may be set to a different speed. Check what is set on it. How to do that is described in the article for your brand. If you can't check it, ask your service company.
With USB, Bluetooth and network, the speed usually doesn't matter.
Network
Fill in the IP address the device uses on your network and the port it takes commands on:
- Tremol: the port is always 8000.
- Datecs: according to the manufacturer's protocol, the default is 4999.
- For other brands, and if you don't know the IP address, ask your service company.
Bluetooth
- Switch Bluetooth on on the device and make it discoverable. How you do this depends on the model.
- In Flexy, under "Bluetooth на компютъра", press "Търси".
- Pick the device and press "Сдвои".
- If a code is asked for, enter it in "PIN (ако се иска)". Some devices show a number on their display, which must match the one on the computer.
Don't connect the same device over Bluetooth and with a cable at the same time.
Checking
Once the device is added, you can press "Провери" (check) next to it in "Устройства" at any time. Flexy then checks whether the device answers. "Тестов печат" shows whether printing goes all the way through.
If a Datecs cash register is not in PC mode, Flexy shows "Не е в PC режим" (not in PC mode) and a "Как да го оправя?" (how do I fix it?) link. Other brands don't report this: Flexy simply gets no answer. In both cases see The register is not in PC mode: Flexy does not print.
Once the connection works, run the daily report from Flexy: "Операторски действия" (operator actions) → "Фискални операции" (fiscal operations) → "Z отчет". "Х отчет" is there too.
